STEP 5: ST. AGATHA PLAN FOR IMPLEMENTING THE IEP

1. Once the IEP is received, the Resource Center staff, along with the principal and classroom teachers, will review the findings reported on the IEP.

2. Focus will be on service delivery and the major goals stated in the IEP. The St. Agatha team will determine the amount of services that St. Agatha School is able to provide.

3. A plan is then written detailing the specific services that St. Agatha School will supply.

4. Subsequently, a meeting is arranged with the parent, the principal, classroom teachers, and Resource Center staff to discuss the plan and obtain parent input.

5. When the plan is agreed upon by all involved, implementation begins.

Parents are always encouraged to accept services from the public school that are not available at St. Agatha, such as Speech/Language and Occupational Therapy. Frequently parents accept parts of the IEP and their children receives public school services before school, after school, and/or during the summer. St. Agatha School does accommodate students who have to arrive late or leave early because of public school services.
